Raimund E. Kamp

Since March 2019, Raimund Kamp is Head of the Aviation Safety unit in the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure. He has been working in this unit, which is in charge of Air Operations, Personnel Licensing, Airworthiness, Safety Management and, with increasing importance, unmanned aviation, since 2015. He is based in Bonn and a trained lawyer, who already has gained expertise in the field of aviation safety from 2004 until 2009. From 2010 until 2015 he was also working as a transport counsellor at the German Foreign Office in the MENA region and in a wide range of aviation related areas. He is the German member in the EASA Committee.  He was recently nominated as the national coordinator for the introduction of the National Aviation Safety Plan, is a member to ICAO´s Safety Management Panel and a co-rapporteur to ICAO´s Joint RPAS and Safety Management Task Force.
